summer is approaching

summer is right around the corner and we can expect to see many uplifting posts about sunshine, the beach, travel and so on etc. with that being said, i hope you find the time to experience the warmth outside the exposure of your tiny phone screen. i know that when the sun is shining so beautifully through out this upcoming season, it can intimidate me. i don't feel as sunny on the inside as i perceive others to be beaming with excitement during the summer season. so if you are like me and don't feel as bright and warm around this time, i just want to say you're definitely not alone. the days are longer, the heat is draining and schedules are inconsistent. there are plenty of rational reasons that explain why we may not feel like our normal selves and it's OKAY. when there is heat, there is pressure. that pressure may feel like we're not living life to the fullest or having the best summer of our lives due to what we see our peers posting on socials. please take that pressure off yourself. sometimes all we need to get by in the summer is a blue freeze pop in the scorching heat on the porch with cute sunglasses on.
